6,400 of his best
salespeople were given a vacation by the billionaire
chief executive of Tiens the Chinese
conglomerate. The vacation began in Paris and was concluded with a parade on Cote
d’Azur in France.
The CEO Li Jinyuan stated that he was having
the 20th anniversary of the
company celebrated by having his staff rewarded and was also aiming for the
world record in having a phrase spelt out with human bodies.
On Friday as their
vacation was being wound down the employees massed in Nice’s coastal promenade
and spelled out the words “Tien’s dream
in Nice in the Cote d’Azur.” They were dressed in identical sky blue hats
and T-shirts.
Mid-week in
Paris, Jinyuan had been greeted by Laurent Fabius the foreign minister of
France.
According to
the media in France, the trip cost between 13 and 20 million euros which is
equivalent to between $14.5 and $22.3 million.
